The Little Tramp

Today, Friday, 7 February, 2014, marks exactly 100 years that the late great Sir Charlie Chaplin showed cinema audiences what would quickly become his most famous and memorable on-cinema character in his cinema career, and also the most famous
and memorable during his era, and one of the most famous and memorable cinema characters in cinema history, The Little Tramp, also known as Little Tramp, but was known as The Little Fellow by Sir Charlie Chaplin himself, whilst internationally known as Charlot, Carlitos in Brazil, and Vagabund in Germany.

The Little Fellow premièred in the silent-film “Kid Auto Races at Venice” 100 years ago today on a Saturday night, dressed an oversized trousers and shoes, carrying a bamboo cane, and wearing a tight coat and a derby, with a signature toothbrush moustache, erroneously known as the Hitler Moustache.

My most favourite cinema character and actor of all time!
